This is combined with artichoke extract, another species of thistle, which is used to support digestion and intestinal health. Artichoke is rich in flavonoids such as luteolin and apigenin, and helps to positively influence lipid (fat) levels within the blood whilst supporting normal liver function. Finally, these two herbs are combined with choline, a water-soluble nutrient often thought of as a B-vitamin, which supports the normal metabolism, or breakdown, of fats.
